Totally agree RE the weekend opportunity. I reckon it exists due to traditional low staffing at weekends. And we know tradition is a poor excuse for data-informed strategy!
I also think it's still essentially print dictating the publishing model (most weekly papers come out on a Thursday, reporters work on stories throughout a traditional Monday starting week and stories come off later in the week etc and get published)
