I think your point about accessibility is absolutely spot on. Even Wordpress these days is a bit of a behemoth (at least on my iPhone 8) some server platforms are blocking off XMLRPC which is/was used for the otherwise excellent WordPress app. I had to build a new interface for quick publishing.
You’ve covered the big things I think, so slightly outside the box - it doesn’t hurt to change or switch up CMS’s every little while. Upheaval and risky yes, but with the speed tech moves and businesses change, the opportunity to have a clean slate every once in awhile can be quite useful.
Throw another light on it, staying on a CMS you’ve clearly outgrown or technology has surpassed can be detrimental to your business.
